Little (BIG) Zed 750
« on: August 19, 2010, 09:36:05 PM »

Hi all!
I would like to share my happines over just finished project.
I always felt that Little Zed has a great engine, but as a budget bike it sufers from cheap components. I decided to change it, so I looked around, mostly in Kawa brand and borrowed forks, rims, discs, swing arm from sister ZX-10r, callipers from GSXR 1000 with braided steel lines, shock is Ohlins, rear part CBR 600rr with D&D exhaust, gastank Z1000, Frontlight KTM SuperDuke, LSL handlebars, spoiler, Baracuda cooler cover and plate holder. Rest is original Z750.
Overall handelling was improved big time as well as the brake power. The sound is something extra, I feel like riding a Superbike:o))

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask!

Cheers

OnDre

Hi
I will send pictures "from the process" to anyone who asks ;)
GSXr callipers fits right in, but they are use to 320mm discs and Kawa has only 300mm, so they had to machined down a little. Genarally speaking Suza and Kawa are sisters now and many parts are changable :)

Wow, that's sick. That thing should have been a production bike. You my friend have skills. 8)

Hi
Thanks for warm words.
I realized that I do not have much pictures from the process as all parts were kinda "friendly", and not much machinery work was invloved. Hardest was the rear part, but this is matter of 4 bolts and modifying the exhaust. The rest was making spacers for swingarm, front wheel etc. I found one picture when it looks like real bike already with std.exhaust.
Cheers
